This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Got some filters a week ago. I've mostly been trying the Hoya close-up +4 which was more different than I thought. My initial expectation was that I'd get about 1/3rd closer on the min. focus distance. And I did, but the "infinity" focus is now really close too, probably less than a meter away. So the focusable area is now very narrow and also the focus plane is really short too. So you really need to get close to the subject and pay attention to what's showing up focused and what not. Still, I've liked it a lot. It's a really cheap way to get more macro lens type results, I got mine for a 15€. Definitely worth it, if you like shooting flowers and bugs and what not.
I've been really busy lately as I became a father on the 14th of June. I try to shoot when ever I get the chance, but it's scarce.
Back in the day, when DOS was all that was expected from a PC, I toyed with software like the zsoft paint and povray. I had the chance to try out software like the 3D Studio R4 (the old school 3DS that ran from DOS) and autocad. I tried my hand on vector graphics on publisher and corel (was it coreldraw back then or what). Then my buddy had Photoshop 5, back then no-one dared to dream a digital compact, so we would just add couple of strokes for color and start messing with the filters. Later I was able to try 3DS MAX and Bryce. By that time digital compacts were coming up but it still took few years until I got my first Canon Powershot. At first it was just pointing and shooting but the spark had already ignited. Then, on a weekend trip, I picked up the British Digital SLR photography mag. And as they say; rest is history.
But you can see that I'm not your typical photographer since I never shot film and got into photography from heavy digital imaging background.
